About the Council on Architecture (OMCA COA)
Since 1971 the Oakland Museum Council on Architecture (OMCA COA) has been committed to preserving the history of the groundbreaking architecture at the Oakland Museum of California.
From architect Kevin Roche and landscape artist Dan Kiley’s original creation and vision in 1969 to the 2010 transformation by Bay Area Architect Mark Cavagnero and Associates the OMCA COA has documented, celebrated, and preserved the history of the museum’s architecture.
